Directions
We are located at 1428 Phillips Lane in Suite 102. When exiting off of California Boulevard, make a left, continue down past the California Highway Patrol, and make a right on Phillips Lane. We are in the building at the end of the cul-de-sac to the right, on street level.

Our Doctor
Joseph A. Schwartz, MD
Dr. Schwartz completed medical school at the University of California in Davis and went on to post graduate training at the UCLA-NPI. He was chief resident on the inpatient service and went on to complete a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry with a focus on the psychiatric disorders of patients with neurological disorders. He was on the faculty of the University of Minnesota and ran the Consultation Service at the Minneapolis VAMC. He later moved to Michigan and was Director of Emergency Services at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. In 1993 he moved to San Luis Obispo to become the Director of the Psychiatric Inpatient Program at French Hospital. Dr. Schwartz has published academic articles on Depression, Epilepsy, PTSD and Stroke.
Our Staff
Central Coast Psychiatric Consultants is pleased to have a dedicated team to assist in the treatment of our patients. Our front office is overseen by Allison Gilbert. She will help you with scheduling and communication with Dr. Schwartz. We have trained TMS technicians, Allison Gilbert and Kathy Rosales. The staff work under the close supervision of the physicians.
